    Description

    I believe all of these 8" x 10" press photographs to be from the 1940s, depicting Curtiss-Wright's history up to that point.  My Grandparents worked for Curtiss, and this is from their personal collection of memorabilia.  It is yellowed with age and the edges and corners have wear.  No tears.
    Please see pictures for details.  There is writing on the back of one of the two that says:
    "Forerunner MF Hammondsport
    "
    I believe these images to be from about 1912 in Hammondsport, NY, and of the MF, or Modernised-F, the first version of what would later become the Seagull.  The press photos themselves are from the 1940s.
